Gottlieb was slow to adopt the digital wave and unfortunately got way behind. Monopoly was alot of fun and I think Lord or the Rings is done very well.Īs long as there is still ONE company still making pinball I think there is hope left in the world. El Dorado (1975) Gottlieb used to be the gold standard as far as pinball manufacturers back in the 70’s before things shifted to digital. I haven't seen the Terminator 3 machine but I know that a few people that worked on T2 had a hand in making it. Speaking of REAL pinball not the video crap, how do you guys think Stern is doing? Playing with a keyboard just isn’t the same as the real thing. Though there have been some good incarnations, the lack of direct interaction is a sore point for pinball on consoles and PCs. They used to have Championship Pub and Junkyard and they got rid of them both for that stupid game. Pinball has always been difficult to re-create on a computer. So go to the back and play a game or two, and if you don't think they got some great tables then there is somthing VERY wrong with you.Īnd if you know another place to go play a good game of pinball please let me know because the one Nathan's by me changed owners and they got rid of all the pinball games and put Dance Dance Revolution in. Your NEVER going to play an Addam's Family in the shape they have it, or an Attack from Mars with BLUE lights in the UFO.Įven though there VERY lazy by not changing the marquees when they move the machines back and forth your not going to find a better collection of pinball tables on the east cost. Hope this helps, on the horizon there's Pure Pinball for the Xbox and Jakks is putting out a TV Controller with video Pinball in August. The original Pokemon Pinball is alot of fun. I found Sonic Pinball Party to be okay, but whatever you do AVOID Hardcore Pinball and Pinball Tycoon, especially the latter. On GBA, Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire is the most solid bet after Pinball of the Dead. There's also Austin Powers, KISS, and Patriotic Pinball which from what I understand were all done by the same team (who may or may not have had a hand in the Pro Pinball series). There's a few others like True Pinball and Extreme Pinball, which were so-so. I want to say there's four or so discs of the Pro-Pinball series for the PS1. Time Cruise on the TG16 is a decent pinball game, nowhere near as fun as Alien or Devil's Crush but still entertaining. The latter I've yet to play but have heard SO many good things about it. The Demolition Man pinball machine is really solid as well.Īs far as video pinball goes, the bases have been covered with the likes of Alien/Devil Crush and Necronomicon. Addams Family has been mentioned several times already but I'll mention it again 'cuz it's my favorite.
